New York, Plaza Hotel. Charlie, a former cop now a writer in crisis, and Anna, an elementary school teacher, both engaged to be married to someone else, stay at the Hotel for a weekend in order to plan their respective weddings. As fate would have it, he stays in the room above her, and with the help of a Frank Sinatra record, an overflowing bathtub and the magic of New York, things don’t turn out the way they started. Between Central Park, wedding anecdotes, kitschy clubs, unlikely musical groups, crockery and whatever else the two will find themselves confronting their respective realities and having to make an important decision.
