Fabrizio Colella, Mario’s only son, a mechanic by profession and a long-time widower, in an attempt to defend his friend Antonio Filippini, son of the engineer Filippini, from an attempted kidnapping by three kidnappers, is also kidnapped. In order to force the engineer to pay the ransom, for which he unsuccessfully tried to stall in order to negotiate to reduce the sum demanded as much as possible, the kidnappers kill Fabrizio, and then have Antonio released. Thus begins the personal struggle of Mario, full of rage and resentment, who like a wounded animal, through personal investigations, manages to eliminate all those involved in the kidnapping, including the ‘unsuspected’ principals. Vengeance is accomplished when Mario also manages to kill the material executor of his son’s murder, while police sirens can be heard in the background.
