In the Buenos Aires of 1955, when Peron fell, the adolescent Laura tries to escape the suffocating embrace of her Sicilian family and the tyranny of her hateful father-master through culture, love of theater and cinema, and political commitment to the left. Soaked in autobiographical juices, dense with political, musical and cinematographic references, it is the 1st film by an Italian-Argentinean director. This story of a sentimental education on the secret theme of the metaphorical killing of the father has more than one sequence of admirable intensity and is effectively acted. Silver plaque Saint Vincent to A. Acciai.
