The fascinating life of Karol Wojtyla, who became pope with the name John Paul II, is recounted through the anecdotes that link the pontiff to the universe of young people and the relationships he had with them, from the years when he surrounded himself with a group of students for a walk in the Polish mountains to the years of the large gatherings, attended by millions of young people from all over the world. Almost nothing is left out of the long biography, the fundamental events are covered, showing both the 30-year-old Wojtyla celebrating mass in 1949 Poland and the 80-year-old pope suffering from Parkinson’s disease, passing through the moment of his election, the fall of the Berlin Wall and World Youth Day in Denver.
