The love story between Luis Bacalov and the tango has deep and ancient roots, a passion blossomed since childhood, cultivated in his youth, perhaps for a while dormant, but never forgotten. And now, finally, expressed in all its devastating force. For this Tango and Around Bacalov has reserved for himself the role of pianist and has gathered around him exceptional musicians/composers: his son Daniel on percussion, Giovanni Tommaso on bass and Ulises Passarella on bandoneon. In addition to two pieces by Piazzolla, in the ten tracks of the album all the artists were also involved at the compositional level. And you can hear it. The tango is paid homage in all its forms and taken as a pretext to explore far and wide the influences that he had from all over the world and poured into other music. And so the album develops in sudden jazz turns, in classical interludes, in songs that have to do only with traditional tango. But already from the opening track Paralelo a Paralelo everything is clear, you are about to embark on a journey from Argentina to Andalusia, Cuba, Rio and back. And always with the same passion, the one inherent in the tango of course.
