Il cielo is a song from 1967 with which he participated in the Festival of Roses, again winning the critics’ prize. The then Roman Festival was held at the Hilton hotel, and legend has it that the doormen prevented him from participating in the final evening because he did not look presentable.
The song is contained in La vedova di nonno, the third episode of the film Franco, Ciccio e le vedove allegre .

The meaning of this song by Dalla is a declaration of love addressed to a woman and the sky becomes a place to collect dreams and prayers for her to come back.

It was then included in the album Dalla/Morandi, published in 1988.
